When a man loses his job, it is often viewed as a big deal in relationships.
I hear songs playing in my head, "You gotta have a J-O-B if you wanna be with me."
LOLOLO
But seriously, in this tough economy a lot of people -- men and women -- are losing their jobs. And it’s not as easy as years past for anyone to walk into a place and get another one just like that.
And if there is no job, then there's likely no money.
And if a person doesn’t have money, they probably can’t go out on dates. Forget Dutch which a lot of couples are practicing any way ... there are no dates, none, zip, zero.
But there could be a lot of watching TV and walks in the park and a night with a $1 movie from RedBox.
There's always a lot of stories in the news about people losing homes and cars. And yea, you hear about couples heading to splitsville because typically money or lack thereof can cause problems in a relationship.
Any who.
What is this tough economy doing to unemployed people who are on the dating scene? Do they still get dates? Do they just not date until they have gainful employment?
And I'm talking about men and women. Would you date someone who didn’t have a job?
Hey Darlene, I just got around to reading this blog and I am currently dating a guy that was laid off. His funds are all spent with taking care of his son and house. When he can he buys me things that he has put thought into. So with that we do a lot of Redbox, cooking together, wine, game nights with the kids, etc. But when I really want to do something I just foot the bill, besides that he is a fulltime student in school, s it's cool with me.
